Who we are and what we’re about here at ‘the good stuff.’

And here’s the how and the why of ‘the good stuff.’

(aka the values part)

Let’s start with who we are…

Ollie & Jess, co-owners, married couple and health practitioners at your service!

We opened ‘the good stuff.’ in our town, Amherstburg, in 2024 because we wanted to create a cozy, approachable and friendly space in Windsor Essex that provides complementary health care, self-care and wellness workshops and products.

Besides, having two young children, a one eyed poodle and busy individual careers didn’t seem fun enough… let’s add some chaos of our own practice… perhaps something to talk to our own therapists about huh?

Pain happens AND let’s reduce suffering.

Look, we agree that pain is just one of the costs of entry to being a human, hooray. AND sometimes we try to white knuckle through our day with pain when there is relief available.

Back pain, sciatica, neck strain, joint ache, sore muscles, plantar fasciitis, strained shoulders… you don’t necessarily need to just put up with it, your body deserves some help.

Depression, low mood, racing thoughts, social anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, psychosomatic pain and distress… though more common than you think, there are ways to manage and reduce mental health struggles.

We can work with you to understand your pain, reduce your suffering, and get you back to kicking ass and taking names… aka, being well again.

Mental health IS health.

Though we’ve come a long way, there’s still stigma out there around mental health.

Or those toxic positive messages that you should just have a gratitude journal, do some breathing and you’ll breeze through life, no problems.

What a crock of nonsense!

Being a human in this weird little world we’ve created for ourselves is hard on a good day. You absolutely deserve to have qualified mental health support to help you figure out your specific challenges, how your brain can use some tools and techniques, and a supportive, confidential, caring place to work through all of what life has thrown at you.

While mental health is still rarely covered by government provided health care, except for particular at risk groups, it is still an invaluable piece of overall health.

Mental health IS health.

Judgment free spot for humans to be human

Sexual orientation, body size, gender, background, ethnicity, neurodiverse, body abilities, financial … be you, we got your back.

This is not the space for condescending remarks, assumptions about you and your abilities or ‘helpful remarks’ about your life… not our style my friend!

And most importantly: We know we’re not always going to get it right. We’re always learning how to be inclusive and are open to any feedback, suggestions or concerns on language, access, facilities or accomodations.

Come in, be you.

We find what works for YOU

Spoiler alert: Just because a treatment or intervention is evidence based and valid does NOT mean it’s the right intervention for you.

We work with YOU, your unique mind and body to find out how to reduce suffering and get you to thriving.

Whether that’s massage techniques, psychotherapy interventions or other health practices, it’s about suiting who you are, your comfort, your challenges and your preferences that shape how we work with you.

And we’re not afraid to refer you to someone else who’s better suited, we always stay in our scope of practice!

Get started with ‘the good stuff.’, today.
