Still scrolling? Here’s more about me!

Hey, Adam here. But my friends call me…Adam.

Amherstburg is where my wife, my kids, our two dogs, and our two cats call home. I was born and raised here, as was my wife. We spent a brief couple years living in Windsor, where we bought our first home, but then after a handful of unusual encounters and my wife getting pregnant with our first son, we decided it was time to come back to The Burg and settle down.

Before becoming a massage therapist, I worked primarily in the service industry as either a cook or a server/bartender. Some of you may recognize me as that guy that used to pour you your craft beer at The Beacon Ale House, your wine at North 42 winery, or served you your Chicken Parm at Ricardo’s. And if you don’t recognize me from those places, you may recognize me as one of the “gym rats” at Movati. What can I say, I like to pick things up and put them down. If you see me in there, or anywhere for that matter, come say hello. I might look super serious, but I’m the human equivalent of a big fluffy golden retriever at heart.

When I’m not at work, or at the gym, I’m likely at one of the parks in Amherstburg playing tag with my wife and kids, climbing the monkey bars to an uncomfortable height, or pushing the kids on the swings. My family is my highest priority, and everything that I do, I do for them (and for me a little too. Lol)

I love to cook. Mostly because I love to eat. But it sounds cooler to say I love to cook. My favourite food is pizza, which I can’t cook very well, so I rely on Armando’s to do that one for me (pineapple, anchovies, fresh garlic, extra pizza sauce, light on the cheese…it’s a weird one I know; but the saltiness and umami of the anchovies, combined with the sweetness of the pineapple…is anyone else hungry?)

After years of serving up food and drinks, I decided I wanted and needed something different. So I enrolled at Canadian College of Health Science and Technology in the Massage Therapy program, and now I’m serving up massages instead.

Now all I have to do is somehow combine my love of food with massage…

Why I do what I do and love what I do: I love making people smile and feel good. If it was lucrative to be a hype-man, I’d do that. But it’s not, so massage is the next best thing. I get to make people feel good physically, and if they need it, emotionally too. Life can be painful in a variety of ways, and I like to be someone in peoples lives who relieves them of those pains if I can.
